A moving and politically-charged solo show about an American activist in the Middle East.
What's in a name? Plenty, if it's My Name Is Rachel Corrie, the much-talked-out solo show about a 23-year-old American activist killed in Gaza. After a year of controversy, the play opened off-Broadway at the Minetta Lane Theatre on October 15 in a production starring Megan Dodds, who created the title role in London. On hand to share Dodds' big night were director/co-writer Alan Rickman, Corrie's parents and an array of New York notables. After the show, first-nighters celebrated at Bowery Bar. As always, Broadway.com was on the scene.
