Next to Normal star Alice Ripley won a Tony Award for her moving portrayal of the troubled Diana in the hit musical. But there were no troubles at all at Sardi’s on September 24 when the talented performer was honored by the Theatre District standby. Ripley received her caricature (we think she looks prettier in person!) with smiles and excitement. Though some members of the Normal cast couldn’t make it due to work conflicts and illness (feel better soon, Bobby Spencer!), the star was still surrounded by many of her devoted friends and colleagues.
