Story

What Is the Story of The Performers?
The Performers is a raucous romantic comedy about the highs and lows of life and love in the porn industry. Set against the backdrop of the Adult Film Awards in Las Vegas, David West Read's story follows two high school friends, porn star Mandrew and reporter Lee, and the women in their lives, naïve teacher Sara and adult film actress Peeps. Over the course of one wild evening, everything changes as the two couples' relationships are challenged. Along for the ride are Chuck Wood, an aging porn star, and Sundown, an up-and-coming performer. The combination of sex, love and Barry Manilow come together to provide a bawdy take on the classic rom-com.
