Kander, Ebb & All that Jazz: An All-Star Tribute to the Men Behind The Scottsboro Boys

The Vineyard Theatre gathered an all-star cast at the Hudson Theatre for its March 8 gala celebration of legendary songwriting team John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, the minds behind hits like Cabaret, Chicago and The Scottsboro Boys , currently enjoying a sold-out run at the off-Broadway theater. This was one cabaret we were happy not to miss—the show, hosted by David Hyde Pierce, featured the talents of Kander and Ebb veterans like Joel Grey, Chita Rivera, Liza Minnelli, Debra Monk and Jason Danieley, as well as special appearances by Broadway favorites like Miss Kristin Chenoweth. Not only did we get some footage of these stage divas and divos working the team's pitch-perfect hits like the pros they are, but we also got to speak with a few starry fans about why this pair's legacy continues to shine on stages across the globe.
