Michael Cerveris, whose triumphant run in Sweeney Todd ends on September 3, organized and starred in an excitingly eclectic concert on August 21 at the Bowery Ballroom. Billed as Fleet Street on the Bowery, the event, which included performances by Sweeney cast members and understudies and guests that included Nellie McKay and Duncan Sheik, benefited Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Attendees described the concert has a happy marriage of pop and musical-theater sensibilities. Bravo, Michael!
