Tony Award winner Mercedes Ruehl and Manhattan Theatre Club hosted a cool meet and greet with the cast of the upcoming Broadway production of Richard Greenberg’s The American Plan. Also gathering at the MTC rehearsal studio on December 11 were co-star Lily Rabe and cast members Kieran Campion, Austin Lysy and Brenda Pressley. First published in 1990 and set in the early ‘60s, the play tells the story of a mother and daughter who spar over a young man while summering in the Catskills. Previews begin at January 2 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, with an open set for January 22. Until then, click on and get with The American Plan!
