Hell, Yes! The Color Purple Celebrates Six Months on B'way

The rousing crowd-pleaser The Color Purple celebrated six months on Broadway on May 2. The company of the musical adaptation of Alice Walker's Pulitzer-winning novel gathered in the basement lobby of the Broadway Theatre to raise a glass to a successful half year. They begin performances at the venue on November 1 and officially opened in perhaps the starriest affair of the season (thanks to supportive producer Oprah Winfrey) on December 1. Here's to another six months!
