Prime Time Ready, Aaron Sorkin's Farnsworth Invention Opens on Broadway

Aaron Sorkin made his Broadway debut in 1989 with A Few Good Men at the Music Box Theatre. Now, 18 years later, the playwright finally (and officially) returned to the playhouse where his career began on Monday, December 3, with The Farnsworth Invention. This new work by the creator of TV's celebrated series The West Wing chronicles the real-life battle between Philo T. Farnsworth and David Sarnoff over the credit for (and patent of) the invention of television. Directed by Tony winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys) Sorkin's biography-based drama features a cast of 22 actors, led by Hank Azaria and Jimmi Simpson in the title role.
