Kathleen Turner and Charles Busch Tell a Wild Story

You start with a mother-son story. Then toss in some film noir, a Russian fairy-tale, a mad scientist, a little retro Hollywood glamour and a lot of playwright and actor Charles Busch’s madcap narrative style and what have you got? MCC's The Third Story, which made its Big Apple debut at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on February 22. The new play by Busch, best known for cult classics like Psycho Beach Party and the Tony-nominated Tale of the Allergist's Wife, took the stage by storm, starring big-name screen veteran Kathleen Turner, as well as Jonathan Walker, Sarah Rafferty, Jennifer Van Dyck, Scott Parkinson and the playwright himself as a whole host of characters telling—what else?—three intertwined tales.
