Three friends face growing up, getting older and getting over it.
New musical Vanities, based on the hit 1976 comedy that played over 1700 performances off-Broadway, is tuning up for Broadway. The production, starring Spamalot veteran Lauren Kennedy, Avenue Q resident Sarah Stiles and Broadway's last Beauty and the Beast Belle, Anneliese van der Pol, laid down its first lovely demo tracks on June 13, ushering its bevy of beautiful stars to the recording studio in preparation for the show's big Broadway debut this fall. The musical Vanities, which follows the lives of three best friends (and some memorable trends) over the course of a 20-year friendship, will have a pre-Broadway premiere this August at California's Pasadena Playhouse—and as these pictures show, the gals (and their team) are ready and rarin' to go!
