There’s a new American Idol vet in town: Sanjaya Malakar, the season six crooner with the shy smile and amazing head of hair, has joined the cast of the off-Broadway family musical Freckleface Strawberry. After giving his first performance at New World Stages on February 23, Malakar and Spring Awakening alum Remy Zaken (a recent cast addition in the title role) posed for celebratory photos onstage and backstage. There’s never been a better time to take the kids (or just yourself!) to see this sparkling stage adaptation of Julianne Moore’s picture book.
