Samuel L. Jackson & Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway defends Fantine's misfortune in a new Funny or Die sketch.

With Les Miserables and Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained both about to hit theaters, audiences can expect at least one thing in the movie theater this holiday season: sadness. In Les Miz, Anne Hathaway plays a ravaged single mother-turned-prostitute. In Django, Samuel L. Jackson portrays a bitter slave in the deep South. So who’s got it worse? That’s for Hathaway and Jackson to decide, which they do in a new Funny or Die short that finds the two A-listers embattled in a dreary "sad-off". Watch the hilarious clip below and decide for yourself which holiday movie is going to be swimming in sadness!
