Two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane is gearing up to star in the Broadway production of Douglas Carter Beane’s new play The Nance, and we caught up with Lane’s Nance co-star Andrea Burns to get the skinny on this exciting world premiere production.

“It takes place in the 1930s burlesque scene, and the three women [Burns, Tony winner Cady Huffman and Jenni Barber] are burlesque performers along with Nathan Lane,” Burns told Broadway.com. “We are so excited. [The script] is everything you want it to be: It’s hilarious, it's poignant, it's moving and it’s powerful. You’re not ready for Nathan Lane in this! He’s spectacular. We are all really excited."

A new play that’s hilarious, poignant, moving and powerful and stars this group of Broadway vets? We’re really excited too!

Lincoln Center Theater’s production of The Nance begins performances at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre on March 21 and officially opens on April 15.
