'Cinderella' will record an original Broadway cast album.

Laura Osnes’ silver-voiced Cinderella will be immortalized in an original Broadway cast recording. Osnes, co-star Sanitno Fontana and the cast of Broadway’s Cinderella will release a cast album of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical through Ghostlight Records. The cast hits the recording studio March 18 in anticipation of a spring release.

Directed by Mark Brokaw, the classic fairy tale Cinderella originally aired as a TV special in 1957, starring Oscar winner Julie Andrews. The new production features a completely re-imagined book by Douglas Carter Beane and additional Rodgers and Hammerstein songs originally composed for other R&H musicals. Popular songs include “In My Own Little Corner,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” “A Lovely Night” and “Impossible/It’s Possible.”

In addition to Osnes and Fontana, Cinderella features Tony winner Victoria Clark as the fairy godmother Marie, Tony winner Harriet Harris as Madame, Ann Harada as Charlotte, Marla Mindelle as Gabrielle, Peter Bartlett as Sebastian and Greg Hildreth as Jean-Michel. Members of the ensemble include Jill Abramovitz, Kristine Bendul, Heidi Giberson, Stephanie Gibson, Shonica Gooden, Kendal Hartse, Robert Hartwell, Laura Irion, Andy Jones, Andy Mills, Linda Mugleston, Peter Nelson, Nick Spangler, Cody Williams, Branch Woodman and Kevin Worley.

The Cinderella cast recording will be produced by David Lai, David Caddick, David Chase and Bruce Pomahac with Ghostlight’s Kurt Deutsch serving as executive producer.
