Richard Nelson’s latest play Nikolai and the Others, which examines Russian art at the beginning of the Cold War and the creation of the ballet Orpheus, officially opened at Lincoln Center Theater on May 6. Directed by David Cromer, this two-act drama melds together dance, vodka and politics to create a unique evening of thought-provoking theater. The cast of 18 features theater favorites Blair Brown, Michael Cerveris, John Glover, Alvin Epstein and Haviland Morris, with fine supporting turns from theater perennials Stephen Kunken, Betsy Aidem and Gareth Saxe.
