Sardi’s Says Yeah to Cyndi Lauper! The Kinky Boots Composer Celebrates Colorful Caricature

It’s been a banner year for Grammy winner Cyndi Lauper. First, her musical Kinky Boots premiered on Broadway, next she won a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award, then she earned a Tony nomination for Best Original Score and now she has her own portrait at Sardi’s. Cyndi, you’re officially a Broadway baby! On June 5, the Times Square institution added a caricature of Lauper to its iconic red walls. Lauper celebrated the momentous occasion with the producers and cast members from her hit musical, as well as some other special guests.
