Ten musicals, including 'The Lion King' and 'Motown,' hit the million-dollar mark this week.

New Yorkers and tourists alike have found one way to beat the heat—they’re heading to Times Square to see a Broadway show! A whopping 10 musicals grossed more than $1 million this week, with The Lion King leading the pack with over $2 million in ticket sales. Hit musicals Newsies, Kinky Boots, Madilda and Pippin packed the houses with over 100% capacity, with The Book of Mormon taking the lead.
