Theater fans are most excited to see 'Big Fish' this fall.

With Labor Day weekend fast approaching and summer getting ready to come to a close, we are looking ahead to the jam-packed fall season and wondering which Broadway show you are most excited to see. The results are in, and it looks like fans can’t wait to see the return of Tony Award winners Norbert Leo Butz, Cherry Jones and Mark Rylance.

1. Big Fish - 33%
Theater fans are ready to go on a wild adventure with Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz and Tony nominees Kate Baldwin and Bobby Steggert. Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the film by Tim Burton, the musical tells the unbelievable life story of Edward Bloom (Butz). Big Fish, which begins performances at the Neil Simon Theatre on September 5, boasts music and lyrics by Andrew Luppa, a book by John August and direction and choreography by Tony winner Susan Stroman.

2. The Glass Menagerie - 15%
John Tiffany, the Tony Award-winning director of Once, reinvents Tennessee Williams’ classic family drama The Glass Menagerie, beginning at the Booth Theatre on September 5. The production, which won rave reviews during its Boston premiere, stars Tony winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Winfield, Emmy nominee Zachary Quinto as Tom, Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura and Brian J. Smith as the Gentleman Caller. The Glass Menagerie officially opens September 26.

3. Twelfth Night - 14%
Tony Award winner Mark Rylance returns to the Great White Way in a double dose of William Shakespeare. Rylance stars as the title character in Shakespeare’s history play Richard III as well as scene-stealing Olivia in the comedy Twelfth Night. The all-male productions, which won much praise last year in London, will play in repertory at the Belasco Theatre beginning October 15 and opening November 10.
