Broadway Grosses: Matilda Is a Miracle at the Box Office, Betrayal's Star Power Packs a Punch
The cast of 'Matilda'
Find out who raked in the Broadway dough for the week ending October 13, 2013.

Broadway is positively booming this fall, with eight shows, including Matilda, Kinky Boots and Motown the Musical hitting the million dollar mark in box office receipts this week. The Book of Mormon and Matilda shattered their house records (even after Matilda temporarily lost their headmaster Miss Trunchbull, played by Craig Bierko, to a shoulder injury). Betrayal, featuring the one-two punch of husband-and-wife duo Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig, is the only play to soar past $1 million at the box office. Meanwhile, The Trip to Bountiful took its last journey, Soul Doctor played its final song and A Night With Janis Joplin had an opening night fit for a rock star.
