Charlotte d'Amboise in Chicago
Charlotte d’Amboise will return to the Broadway company of Chicago on November 3 as merry murderess Roxie Hart. A Tony nominee for her performance as Cassie in the recent Broadway revival of A Chorus Line, dAmboise made her debut as Roxie in 1997 in Chicago‘s first national tour, and has played the role more than 2,000 times, both on Broadway 1,250+ performances and on various tours 750+ performances, more than any other actress in the show’s history.

In addition to A Chorus Line, d’Amboise was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. Her other Broadway credits include Sweet Charity and Damn Yankees, both of which earned her a Fred Astaire Award; Can-Can with City Center Encores!; Contact; Company; Carrie; Song and Dance and Cats.

Michelle DeJean will appear as Roxie Hart through November 2, alongside Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Tom Wopat as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Carol Woods as Matron “Mama” Morton. As previously announced, Terra C. MacLeod will appear as Velma Kelly October 27-November 2 before kicking off the tenth national tour of Chicago in Charlotte, NC, on November 11. On Broadway, Chicago continues its run at the Ambassador Theatre.
