Fun and entertaining

"The show itself is very good, really fun and entertaining. We came to see Reece Weaver as the lead but fell in love with Velma and everyone’s performance. The only thing to note is not about the show but the venue. It’s an old theatre so expect seats to be small and tight. Very little leg room. And there is only one bathroom. The line was so long. Moved quickly but still waited a while. If you have to go, I’d recommend going before intermission "

"I fell in love with Chicago the moment I watched the 2002 film adaptation starring Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Its dazzling choreography, unforgettable music, wicked humor, and unapologetic glamour stayed with me. Ever since, I had one Broadway dream: to experience Chicago live on stage. And when I finally did, it didn’t disappoint. It stunned me. From the first moment to the final bow, I was completely captivated. I loved every minute. I found myself remembering every song as it was performed, but hearing them live — surrounded by the energy of the theater — made them feel completely new. The cast was phenomenal. The actors brought confidence, charisma, wit, and intensity, while the dancers were simply insane. Their precision, stamina, strength, flexibility, and control were extraordinary. To sing, act, dance, and maintain that level of stage presence requires an incredible amount of discipline and fitness. And the diction! Every word, lyric, and sharp line landed exactly where it needed to. Nothing was lost, even in the fastest musical numbers. The performers commanded the stage with clarity and confidence. The costumes were glamorous, seductive, sophisticated, and perfectly suited to the world of Chicago. But what truly stole the show for me was the dancing — raw yet elegant, sensual yet athletic, precise yet seemingly effortless. Watching the cast move as one was mesmerizing. Devilish and delightful, Chicago is an indisputable Broadway landmark that utilizes minimal scenery and simple costumes (we’re talking some seriously basic black) to deliver one big musical bang after another. With one great showstopper after the next, John Kander and Fred Ebb’s now-classic score keeps the story moving at a gunshot pace. The scantily-clad dancers tip their bowler hats in tribute to original choreography Bob Fosse, whose moves are still as steamy and sexy today as they were when Chicago first appeared in 1975. For a show that stands chin-deep in dirty deeds, it feels like one helluva good time.
