Claim to fame

A distinctive star of stage and screen, Alan Rickman received Tony nominations for his first two Broadway appearances, in Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Private Lives, and starred in John Gabriel Borkman at BAM in 2010. Known for a range of movie roles including Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series, Rickman returned to Broadway in 2011 in the world premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s Seminar.
