Claim to fame

Shortly after graduating from Juilliard, Tracie Thoms made her Broadway debut in Drowning Crow opposite Alfre Woodard. She went on to appear on Broadway in Stick Fly and as Joanne Jefferson in Rent, which she had first played in the musical’s screen adaptation. Her notable film credits include The Devil Wears Prada and Grindhouse, as well as TV hits like Wonderfalls, Harry’s Law and Cold Case.
