What Is the Story of Harper Regan?
Harper Regan’s father is dying, her husband is unable to work, and if Harper leaves London to visit her ailing father in Manchester, she will lose her job and jeopardize the future of her family. After her own near-death experience, Harper throws caution to the wind and finally lives life for herself. The play tells the story of a weekend when Harper goes off the grid and discovers the truth about her dad, her mom, her husband, her daughter and most importantly, herself.
What Is Harper Regan Like?
Harper Regan unfolds in a series of short vignettes in which the audience sees the title character interact with different people (boss, family, strangers, etc) during what could be considered one of the most challenging weekends of her life. Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens’ play offers laughs, several jaw-dropping surprises and incredible performances by the 11-person cast led by Mary McCann. This two-hour-and-twenty-minute-long drama moves quickly and leaves the audience thinking far after the curtain has come down.
Is Harper Regan Good for Kids?
This play is not appropriate for young ones. Parents should be wary of adult language, alcohol and drug use and sexual situations.
