Cheryl, the 18-year-old daughter of a maid who works for the affluent African-American LeVay family at their home on Martha’s Vineyard.
Rashad made her off-Broadway debut in Ruined and her Broadway debut in Stick Fly. Other theater credits include Pearl at the Kennedy Center and Tambourines to Glory at the Alliance Theatre. She will be seen in an upcoming film remake of Steel Magnolias.

Rashad jokes that she made her acting debut on The Cosby Show when her mother, Cosby Show star and Tony winner Phylicia Rashad, was pregnant with her.
