John Jasper, the borderline insane uncle of Edwin Drood, and Clive Paget, the fictional English music hall thespian who plays Jasper in the show-within-the-show.
Chase earned recognition for his standout performances on Broadway in Miss Saigon, Rent, Aida, High Fidelity and Nice Work If You Can Get It. Fans also know Chase from his featured role on the first season of NBC’s Smash.

This is Chase's first Tony nomination.
Prior to his Broadway acting career, Chase trained in conducting and percussion at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
