Each individual show page will list the current principal cast, which is subject to change with or without notice.

Principal actors will appear in performances of Broadway shows barring any illness, injury, or last-minute cancellation, and except where otherwise noted.

A principal actor is the listed performer for a lead role. Understudies are usually part of the show in a non-leading role but may be called upon to step into a lead role. Standbys and swings can cover one or more lead roles and only perform in them when required.

Scheduled absences of principal actors will be prominently posted.

Alternates tend to have an announced performance schedule, while understudies and standbys do not typically have planned performance dates.
