What are TKTS booths?

TKTS booths offer theater tickets for sale at discounted prices. A limited number of Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, plays and dance productions are on sale every day at 20% to 50% off regular prices. There is a TKTS Booth at Times Square and at Lincoln Center. Matinee performances can be purchased the day before, but tickets to evening performances must be purcahsed that day.
