2002 Broadway Cares Flea Market
Crowds once again descended upon Shubert Alley on September 22 for The Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction. This year marked the 16th anniversary of the event, which raises funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. From a walk-on part in Mamma Mia! to Urinetown toilet paper (we kid you not), there was something for everyone at the crammed tables of collectibles and delectables. Many Broadway celebrities showed their support for the cause by greeting fans and signing autographs. Broadway.com got in the act for the third year in a row--hawking many items, including autographed wall cards, rare photos, a Tony nomination plaque, t-shirts, CDs and, well, you name it!
