Angela Lansbury and Raul Esparza Go Out for Donuts

Delicious! That’s the consensus of celebrity theatergoers Angela Lansbury and Raul Esparza, who attended the October 6 performance of Superior Donuts. The fact that Angela and Raul won acclaim last season in plays produced by Donuts impresario Jeffrey Richards (Blithe Spirit and Speed-the-Plow, respectively) helped, but the stars were genuinely enthusiastic about Tracy Letts’ new play, and it showed during their post-show backstage visit at the Music Box Theatre. Luckily for NYC theatergoers, we’ll soon be welcoming Angela back to Broadway yet again in A Little Night Music. For now, take a look at her starry night out.
