Based on a Totally True Story Opens at MTC
On April 11, the Manhattan Theatre Club opened its Stage II doors for the world premiere of Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa's play Based on a Totally True Story. Starring Carson Elrod, Michael Tucker, Erik Heger, Pedro Pascal and Kristine Nielsen, and directed by MTC Associate Artistic Director, Michael Bush, Based on a Totally True Story is Aquirre-Sacasa's semi-autobiographical story of a comic book writer who is on the threshold of making it big when a Hollywood producer attempts to turn his play into a Hollywood movie.
