Not a Genuine Black Man from its humble origins in the City by the Bay to Gotham's DR2 Theater was a trek worth taking. Indeed, to toast the show's off-Broadway debut on May 17, Copeland's producer Daryl Roth treated her star, his creative team and some special opening night supporters to a lovely —and genuinely Italian—supper after the curtain fell around the corner from the Union Square-based DR2 at Borgo Antico Restaurant on East 22 Street.
