Broadway's Best Don Easter Bonnets for a Cause
Chorus members became stars for a day at the annual Easter Bonnet Competition, held on April 25 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. No headgear was too outrageous, no skit too cheeky for Broadway's talented gypsies, who gathered to celebrate the winners of this year's fund-raising drive for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. (The total take: more than $3.1 million.) Michael Cerveris of Sweeney Todd hosted, and the starry trio of Julia Roberts, Harry Connick, Jr. and Ana Gasteyer presented the awards.
