Playwright Bryony Lavery, who had a hit last season with the Tony-nominated Frozen, returned to MCC Theater with her latest work, Last Easter. The new play is a (gulp) comedy about a cancer patient and her friends. That sounds much more unsavory than it is--and with able helmer Doug Hughes and the incomparable Veanne Cox leading the cast, there's no reason to worry. The new show opened on October 7 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, and the company then high-tailed it to the Robert Miller Gallery in Chelsea to celebrate.
