Checking in on the Kennedy Center's Streetcar
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is readying an exciting lineup of Tennessee Williams for a festival entitled Tennessee Williams Explored. First up is the sultry 1947 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama A Streetcar Named Desire, starring recent Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson, Adam Rothenberg, Amy Ryan and Noah Emmerich. We checked in on the production, directed by Tony winner Garry Hynes, at the New 42nd Street Studios on April 6. From the look of it, we're happy to report that this Streetcar is bound to be a hit.
