Dread Awakening Opens its Bloody Doors
On April 10, an evening of horror-infused theater entitled Dread Awakening opened for a limited engagement through April 23 at off-off-Broadway's 45th Street Theater. Presented are a series of four one-act plays in Dread Awakening, written by (alphabetically) Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Clay McLeod Chapman, Eric Sanders and Justin Swain, and directed by Arin Arbus, Amanda Charlton, Jessica Davis-Irons and Pat Diamond, respectively. After the curtain rung down on Dread Awakening's night of thrills and chills, the collective artists popped the Champagne corks (and perhaps a few beers) at Chelsea Market. Check it out.
