Hats Off to The 19th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition!
As usual, The Easter Bonnet Competition, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, was more fabulous than you can imagine. The two-day spectacle, which features the companies of more than 20 Broadway, off-Broadway and touring productions singing, dancing, and donning specially created Easter bonnets, has become the hottest ticket around. This year--it's 19th!--the Easter Bonnet raised approximately $2.8 million. The event caps off (so to speak) six weeks of nonstop fundraising efforts.
