Can't get enough of office life? Neither can playwright Adam Bock, who has written a sharply funny play about the joys (?) of spending one's days in a cubicle in
The Receptionist. Mounted by Joe Mantello at Stage I of Manhattan Theatre Club's off-Broadway home at City Center, the play opened on October 30 with a top-drawer cast of four: Josh Charles, Robert Foxworth, Kendra Kassebaum and Jayne Houdyshell in the title role. After the show, first nighters gathered at the Beacon to toast the hot young author and the entire company. Of course, Broadway.com was there, too, to capture the happy scene.
