Jennifer Holliday Romances Town Hall
Diva Jennifer Holliday returned to the New York stage for "one night only" on October 28 to premiere her one-woman concert Romance in the Dark. Directed by Donna Drake, the two-act evening was a celebration of love songs from Broadway musicals featuring African-American performers. With theater friends like Keith David and Norm Lewis joining Holliday for the show, the evening was a smashing success--raising funds for both Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Harlem United Community AIDS Center. After the show at Town Hall, we joined Holliday at a swank soiree at Planet Hollywood.
