Grammy-winning musician John Mayer appeared at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on January 10 for a special event called A Benefit for Broadway. Mayer chatted with Jon Pareles, the chief pop music critic of The New York Times and played a few tunes--all for the benefit of The Actors' Fund Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic and MusiCares Foundation. There was a cozy after-party at theater hangout Angus McIndoe.
