Keeping it Green... with a Song: Broadway in Bryant Park
Lunchers in midtown Manhattan enjoyed the best song 'n' dance performers that the New York theater has to offer (for free!) on Thursday, July 12, when the 6th annual Broadway in Bryant Park began its summer concert series on a stage on the luscious green lawn behind the New York Public Library. Performing selected numbers from their respective shows for the kick-off were the casts of Mamma Mia!, Spelling Bee, Beauty and the Beast and the Broadway-bound In the Heights. Sponsored by New York's 106.7 FM radio station, with major support from Toyota, Bank of America and yours truly, Broadway.com, Broadway in Bryant Park will continue on July 18 and 26, and August 2, 9 and 10. With a rotating roster of shows performing, all concerts are from 12:30-1:45pm.
