Hairspray’s current exuberant freedom fighter, Marissa Perry, got a visit from her British counterpart on December 3 when West Ender Leanne Jones trekked over from the award winning London production to see what Broadway’s beat was all about. Jones, who earned a 2008 Olivier Award for her joyous performance as Tracy, got more than just a trip to Broadway, however—she also earned an audience with Tony Award winner and reigning Hairspray supermom Harvey Fierstein!
