The terrible two's are over! And while the New York Musical Festival -- which has, in its toddler-esque existence, already introduced such fresh new shows as
Altar Boyz and the recent off-Broadway transfer,
[title of show] -- is quickly moving forward, they stopped for a moment to celebrate their progress thus far. Indeed, on February 27, dozens of musical theater performers gathered and performed at a birthday party to benefit the NYMF at Gotham's off-Broadway Dodger Stages. Singing a collection of songs first sung at the festival by such big Broadway talents as Karen Ziemba, Ann Harada and Amy Spanger, along with co-hosts
Jersey Boys' John Lloyd Young,
The Producers' Gary Beach,
Avenue Q's Jeff Marx and upcoming
Tarzan stars Josh Strickland and Jenn Gambatese, the evening was a roaring success. And a blast to boot! Take a look.
