Sandra Bernhard Makes Bad & Beautiful Opening Night Splash
What does it take to reopen a Chelsea bar closed down on March 31 because of a drug bust? Nothing short of the bad and beautiful people of Sandra Bernhard's world. On April 5, Ms. B, whose show Everything Bad and Beautiful had just opened at off-Broadway's Daryl Roth Theatre, marched her entourage of musicians, fashion designers, TV stars and even producer Daryl Roth herself over to the Splash Bar for a glam post-show party. Flanked by the ranks of Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs and The Rebellious Jezebels, who back her belting vocals onstage, Ms. Bernhard was, as usual, a force to be reckoned with. Rock on, dammit.
