There's nothing better than a party in the summertime. Case in point, the Second Stage Theatre Gala honoring Tony-winning composer William Finn. The special event, which was held on June 6 at the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, was hosted by Finn's friend, William Barfee, or to some Tony winner Dan Fogler from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The performers for the evening included stars of Broadway and off-Broadway, all of whom have appeared in one or more of Finn's productions, such as Carolee Carmello (Falsettos), Stephen DeRosa (Infinite Joy: The Songs of William Finn), Alison Fraser (the original Trina from March of the Falsettos and In Trousers), Michael Rupert (the original Marvin from March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland), Mary Testa (from A New Brain and In Trousers) and Chip Zien (the original Mendel from March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland). What a night!
