Stars Welcome Sh-K-Label Ghostlight Records
After finding success with pop and rock albums by artists like Adam Pascal, Sherie Rene Scott and Alice Ripley, the folks at Sh-K-Boom Records, under the guidance of president Kurt Deutsch, have set off on a new adventure. With their new Ghostlight Records label, they plan on preserving more classic Broadway fare. Their first three releases--In Your Dreams by Christine Ebersole and Billy Stritch as well as cast recordings of the Encores! cast of The New Moon and the Irish Rep revival of Finian's Rainbow--will no doubt win them many fans. "Kurt is a great producer in the sense that he comes from the sensibility of a performer, because he is an actor," Ebersole said. "And he has such a great love for this type of music and wanting to keep it going and keeping it alive and viable. So I think it's a great place to start from."
