Tartuffe Born Again at Roundabout

Hardly a decade goes by without Molière's 17th Century comedy Tartuffe finding its way back to the Broadway stage. And it's no wonder--the show offers a delicious social satire and two marvelous roles for actors up to the challenge. For the Roundabout production, which opened on January 9 at the American Airlines, lauded Brit star Henry Goodman has taken on the role of the title schemer while Brian Bedford plays Orgon, the sucker (Also along for the ride is the always-reliable J. Smith-Cameron). After the opening night performance, we headed over to Laura Belle to toast this glittering new Tartuffe.
