Broadway fave Alan Cumming has teamed up with filmmaker boyfriend Nick Philippou and Audrey Rosenberg to form off-Broadway's hottest new theater company, The Art Party. The list of members for the company reads like a who's who of talent: performers like Parker Posey, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rufus Wainwright and Rachel Weisz as well as people from the other side of the footlights like fashion designers John Bartlett and Cynthia Rowley, photographers Todd Eberle and David LaChapelle and even DJ Victor Calderone. We won't see what this eclectic group actually can produce until the July 17th premiere of Jean Genet's Elle at the Zipper (starring Cumming and Anson Mount), but we caught up with the players at a benefit for the company on June 24 at a private penthouse downtown.
