The Shaw Must Go On at Second Stage’s Big Opening

Second Stage gave Gina Gionfriddo’s hip, dark comedy Becky Shaw its official New York opening January 8, and things couldn’t have gone better—the show announced a six week extension just a day later, ensuring audiences have plenty of time to acquaint themselves with Becky and her story. The quirkily comic show, about what goes startlingly awry when a newlywed couple attempts to set up two friends, stars David Wilson Barnes, Emily Bergl, Kelly Bishop, Annie Parisse and Thomas Sadoski, who gathered with friends, family and former co-stars from stage and screen for a catered post-show affair at BBQ spot Spank
