Toasting the 2005 Drama Desk Nominees at a Cozy Reception
The 2005 Drama Desk nominees took a breather from performing, rehearsing and such to pop into Arte Cafe on the Upper West Side for a reception in their honor. The theater stars, creators, directors and designers mingled, toasted and posed for photographers. They also picked up their nominee certificates, doodled for posterity's sake and got to meet each other (or say hi to old pals). The winners of the award, which honors both Broadway and off-Broadway, will be announced at a ceremony on May 22.
